This week BPL joins libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating the many ways libraries are transforming their communities every day through the services and invaluable resources they offer.

The Beauregard Parish Library is celebrating National Library Week in a variety of ways.

  • While supplies last, each patron who checks out a physical item from any of our branches receives a Library branded tote bag.

  • Everyone is also invited to a “Drop Everything and Read” read-in event at all open branches on Wednesday, April 12. Find a cozy corner and curl up with a good book!

  • Our DeRidder branch is also hosting a reception on Thursday April 13 from 6 to 7 pm. We'll have a few words of welcome at 6:00 followed by refreshments, library themed give-aways, a digital presentation on our Library's history, and, at 6:20, families are invited to bring the kiddos by for a special pajama story-time.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. We invite you to join us in celebrating National Library Week!
